NEWSFLASH: IMPORTANT WARNING!

Zurich Professional in their bulletin dated 15/October 2003 have warned against certain wording being used by Barclays Bank, and possibly other Banks, in connection with the supporting documentation that Solicitors are required to sign when returning Bank Guarantees and other security documents. Security - Please be assured every measure has been taken to protect your privacy. Under no circumstances will we release or publish members private information, and if you do not wish to appear in our Solicitors Search please let us know and we will remove your details.

E-mails - Occasional E-mails will be sent to members by BDLS informing you of service improvements or inviting your input on particular important issues. These messages from us will be kept to a minimum and will not be used to promote any third party offer or service. If you wish to be removed from receiving these occasional e-mails please let us know - but we do intend them useful and informative.

Updating - If any of the information we hold on you is incorrect, or changes, please contact the office and we will update your details.

What you see at the moment is only phase one of our web based project. Whilst this phase is almost complete there will be further improvements over the coming days - particularly the removal of some of the many advertising spaces using a new template. Whilst some advertising is desirable to help fund the project this will be kept to a reasonable minimum.

Phase two developments are under way and will include:

Members only message board - You will not need to register for this separately - once you have logged on to the BDLS web site the board will automatically recognise you and allow you to post and answer messages. The message forum will be available later this year and we hope to promote some interesting and informed discussions.

Other improvements or ideas - This system is for you, and we would welcome your feedback. If think something can be improved, or if you have an idea for a new system or service please let us know.

These improvements to our web system lay the groundwork for a range of improved services over the next year that we hope will be warmly welcomed by all. Do let us know what you think.
