As a profession we are undoubtedly being squeezed by big business interests so whilst we continue to endeavour to provide high quality local service through the High Street it is clear that the Government and to a certain extent The Law Society in London appear determined to hive off large sectors of our business notably residential conveyancing into large organisations both legal and non-legal.

NPower have been marketing legal services for the last few months.     We believe it is time that we as the Bournemouth Law Society should fight back on behalf of our Members and consequently we have struck a deal with another national power provider, Scottish Power, to provide gas and electricity power supplies both to commercial and domestic users with effect from 04 November 2003.

Since Scottish Power can provide rates that are considerably more competitive than those supplied by the local power supplier, there seems little reason not to obtain a quotation.     The advantages to the Bournemouth Law Society are that we will receive a commission on each conversion plus we will be able to show big business that we can fight back.

For commercial customers we very strongly recommend that you contact the Taskforce team to look at your own power supplies and offer you very competitive quotes with any of the major power suppliers (other than NPower!)
