Parking: Please note the entrance to the car park is in Grove Road. There is no charge for
BDLS delegates to park at the hotel – they will just need to let Reception have
their car registration number when they arrive. The car park has recently
been extended so there is now a lot more parking available. Alternatively there is
metered street parking on the roads around the hotel.

This lecture will be presented by DJ Christopher Simmonds, - a District Judge appointed in 2010. He sat initially in the Principal Registry of the Family Division until his transfer to the Western Circuit in November 2015. He is also a nominated District Judge of the Court of Protection, a Commissioner of the Judicial Appointments Commission and one of the Course Directors and the Judicial College (Family). He is lead at the judicial college. Before being appointed he was a Solicitor and Partner in the firm of Davis Simmonds & Donaghey specialising in Public Law Proceedings and a member of the Children Panel. He has written numerous articles on family law to include section 38(6) Applications and Secure Accommodation Orders.
